A location of many cement producers

In Newberry the second 2,100-tpd cement production line is currently being erected for Florida Rock Industries Inc. - almost exactly six years after their first cement production line was put into operation, a contract was signed to expand the existing plant - and production is scheduled to start in a couple of months. In this line, too, the Polysius machines and components, which have proven themselves in the first production line, will be controlled, regulated and monitored by the POLCID® NT automation system.

On a green field site in Sumterville, cement is going to be produced from late 2008. The construction of the new 2, 720-tpd cement production line for American Cement Company, LLC, is making good headway. The new line comprises a wide range of Polysius machines and equipment, such as a raw material preparation system with material store, a QUADROPOL®, a tangential blending silo, a kiln plant consisting of a DOPOL® '90, a PREPOL®-MSC-CC calcining system, a POLRO® rotary kiln and a POLYTRACK® clinker cooler, two clinker silos, a cement grinding plant with a two-compartment separator mill, and a roller mill for coal grinding.
