Often, indirect and therefore gentle cooling processes are preferable to direct heat dissipation processes such as water injection into the mill.

The Polysius fines cooler works on the principle of indirect heat dissipation, i.e. the heat dissipating coolant does not come into contact with the material being cooled, so the product quality is not affected. Depending on the specific needs of the process, either the fines or the circulating material or the recycled oversize material of the grinding plant is cooled.

The Polysius product range includes six cooler sizes for throughput rates of up to 180 tph.
