While the current market is uncertain, one truth remains clear. When the demand for high quality and cost effective cement production turns to the sunshine state, polysius will be there.
In Newberry the second 2,100-tpd cement production
line is currently being erected for Florida
Rock Industries Inc. - almost exactly six years after
their first cement production line was put into operation,
a contract was signed to expand the existing
plant - and production is scheduled to start
in a couple of months. In this line, too, the Polysius
machines and components, which have proven
themselves in the first production line, will be controlled,
regulated and monitored by the POLCID®
NT automation system.

On a green field site in Sumterville, cement is going to be produced
from late 2008. The construction of the new 2, 720-tpd cement production
line for American Cement Company, LLC, is making good
headway. The new line comprises a wide range of Polysius machines
and equipment, such as a raw material preparation system with material
store, a QUADROPOL®, a tangential blending silo, a kiln plant
consisting of a DOPOL® '90, a PREPOL®-MSC-CC calcining system,
a POLRO® rotary kiln and a POLYTRACK® clinker cooler, two clinker
silos, a cement grinding plant with a two-compartment separator
mill, and a roller mill for coal grinding.
