  • High Temperature Shaft Kiln

    The High Temperature Shaft Kiln has been developed in close cooperation with the refractory materials industry. Today Polysius/RCE is the market leader in the supply of this type of kiln for sintering of raw materials used for refractory applications.

       

     Main fields of application:

    Direct sintering of magnesite and dolomite.

    Calcining of bauxite.

    Sintering of calcined materials in a two-step process, e.g. magnesia, dolime, alumina, magnesia-alumina spinels, chrome-magnesia spinels.

    The High Temperature Shaft Kiln operates at temperatures of up to 2,200 °C and is characterised by the high flexibility in adjusting temperature profiles and levels and its high thermal efficiency.
